Hello Monday

Morning! If you haven't seen yet, you need to go check out this huge giveaway hosted by Going With The Flow. Just take a gander at the post below for all of the info... including a HUGE Target gift card up for grabs. Excited to be one of the sponsors for it and to make new bloggy friends!

Well, it's Monday and today I have the case of the Monday's. Seriously. I typically don't and look at each week with a huge smile on my face because my weeks are the most productive. But it's conference week at school which means it is also Book Fair and well, that would be all fine and dandy for a parent not in the PTA, but since I'm on the Executive Board and loooove to volunteer I'll be spending most of my time at the school. Plus, I have minutes to prepare for the following weeks meeting and... just so much.

But, I am finding inspiration in lace. I am far from being a girlie girl, but there is just something about the right kind of lace that just makes me want to put on pink lipstick and wear a dress.

What are your fave things with lace?

Hello Monday

I took yesterday off from everything and lounged around on the couch watching the entire {yes, the entire} 17th cycle of America's Next Top Model. It was awesome and much needed, thats for sure. I definitely need to add that to my to do list every month.

On this lovely Monday, that will still be almost as lazy as Sunday, I am finding inspiration in something that is key in my morning routine; something that keeps those lazy days {mostly} at bay. Coffee stations.

If I had half the space as these I would be happy! I have a small corner of the counter in our kitchen and though it works, if I had all that space oh I would fill it with amazing accessories and coffee and be able to merge my coffee and tea station together.

But this works for now.

Hello Monday

Last week I took a break from my series to focus on an amazing blogging adventure with my best bloggy friend Heidi. Hopefully you all stopped by B.You to check us out... please share this amazing project and check in with us from time to time. We would really appreciate that!

This Monday I am sharing with you some laundry room inspiration. We just had out washer break and are needing to replace it so we might as well get in there and rearrange and change some things. It needs to be freshened up and a little more functional for us since it is in a small nook in the garage. So I've searched for some laundry rooms that we can hope bring in some elements from to create our own amazing space.

Do you have any inspirations for the week? Please share!

Hello Monday

Hi! Happy Monday! Time to show you some color inspiration for the week.

Remember when I talked about our bedroom redo? The colors will be gray and yellow with a main accent color of blue. We had some paint picked out and then decided it wasn't what we liked so we went back to the drawing board. We have narrowed it down to these three sets and hopefully will make a decision soon {cause I wanted this room painted before the end of the month!!}.

Grey will be the wall color, yellow will be a few furniture pieces and blue will be the main accent color as well as the color I will be painting my night stand.

Which is your favorite combination? And what are your weeks inspirations?

Hello Monday

Hello all you Monday peeps! Hope today is bright and cheery for you. I've been snuggling a teething baby who is comfort nursing like crazy all morning which has been lovely so far. His first tooth is coming in, just barely peeking up in those pink little gums of his, so we will see how lovely nursing is once it fully comes in {he's a biter!}

Ok so my weeks inspirations are sewing spaces. When we decided to try for a baby we knew that meant giving up our office/sewing room to a nursery. At first I was all for it and once baby came, sewing wasn't on the top of my list of to do's. But now that he is older and I have more time to sew and am getting back into it all, I really miss my sewing room! Right now it is on a small wall in our main living space on a tiny {but amazing} Singer sewing table as well as strewn about our dinning table and is cluttered beyond all belief because our entire home has no storage space! Sad me right now. I'm trying to find a way to make it all work and I am hoping I can do that keeping my sewing table where it is right now, but I'm finding that it is quite difficult. I have some options: keep it there and work with the space, move it into the garage {which we would have to make room for me in there}, or put it in my closet in our bedroom. I like the third option the best because it's practical and I won't freeze {or sweat during summer months} my hiney off! So lately I've been trying to find some inspirations to help fix this issue of mine and get me excited about sewing again.

I think this would be a great fit for me because I can close everything up {I would still keep my closet doors on} and have plenty of room for storage and whatnot. Plus, my honey is moving his office into our bedroom {with the promise to not be a clutter fiend} so we can spend time together while working.

I love the cutting table. I have one in the garage, which is great, but it's freezing and it's in an inconvenient spot. I know that most of my sewing storage will need to be out there, so I also have to work on making a space that works for me and is easy to get to.

I currently have a space like this. If I decide to keep it where it is now, I will definitely pull from this and use vertical wall space {we have vaulted ceilings!}

I just love how there are so many elements, but it doesn't look cluttered at all. I think it is because of the white space; it keeps it open, airy, and light, which makes you able to put different objects, colors, elements with out it being dark and cluttered.

Needing a long table space for my serger and machine. Plus I like to have things on my 'desk' so I'll need all the space I can get.

I love the vintage everything! I also love the organization of the fabric and the jars to store things in. Im very visual so when things are packed up in bins and shut away, my inspiration gets shut away too. Plus that machine is to die for! And I actually have one of those with its original table too!

Hello Monday

How is everyone's Monday going so far? I hope well! We have just been loungin' around the house being snugly all day. I did manage to get my first ever crockpot meal started, though! And it is smelling quite amazing in here.

This Monday I am sharing with you some fashion inspiration!

Before I had the baby I was skinny mini and quite fashionable. It was rare to see me in anything but 'put together' and nowadays it's rare to see me in anything other than leggings. But with an unhappy amount of fluff and a string desire to get most of my body back {or to lose it, rather}, I am looking for lots of fashion inspiration to get me excited about clothes again.

I need this sweater! If anyone has one like this they don't want; please give me.

Hello Monday

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend and are looking forward to this week, which is week two of 2013!
This week I'm sharing with you a few inspirations for our bedroom redo. We have made the first step of the redo... choosing the paint color! We will be painting this week and switching out some furniture.
An element that I am adding to our room is a little reading nook in a corner of our room. It's right by the large sliding glass doors so tons of natural light for reading and it's the perfect space. I'm not sure exactly how I want it to look and how I will hold some of my books so I browsed online and decided to choose three inspirations and pull a little of something from each of them.

I love the angle of the chair to the window. There is natural light behind and to the side. I don't have an awesome window seat like they do, but I can mostly achieve and angle like this.

{{Source Unknown}}
The chair! The ottoman! So comfy. I still have to find a chair and see if I have room for an ottoman, but if I could I would choose these. I definitely want to put my feet up while reading.

I like the placement of the trunk tucked behind the chair to the side and it still being accessible. We have a trunk that isn't in use right now so I may use that to store my books and keep some accessories on top. I can't have a ton of storage space or I'll put too much crap there and that is definitely not what I want. Ha.

What are your inspirations for the week?

Hello Monday

What a lovely Monday! I would have posted sooner, but we had some last minute fun come our way. We ended up going to the local Children's Museum to celebrate NYE with a balloon and confetti drop at noon. So much fun! All of the kiddos were cheering and laughing. Love the innocence of children.

This weeks Monday inspiration is a remodel for our home. Our goal this year is to remodel and update a part of our home every three months starting with our bedroom. It is currently a lovely {read: horrid} lime green color with no matching furniture and disorganized beyond... well, its just bad. Its basically how it was before I met the hubbs.

Yeah, bad. Oh and nevermind all of those clothes and messy bed and... stuff. The color really is more brilliant than what the photo shows, but I am wanting something more light, airy... clean. After browsing around the web and Pinterest for what I like I found some great grey and yellow inspirations. For Christmas, Richard bought us new sheets from Target after seeing some of my bedroom inspiration pins.

I love them! They will be perfect in the new bedroom. This week we are going out and getting paint. I would like to paint the walls a light grey to keep the room open and full of light. We have a huge slider out to our back patio so our room gets tons of light during the day. We will also be slowly selecting new furniture and repainting the dresser a buttery yellow then antique it since it is such a nice and heavy piece.
Here are some inspirations for our room

As you can see, we have a long way to go, but our goal this month is to get the wall painted and the headboard made and put up. Then we will start on the furniture in February and finish the touches off in March. Absolutely cannot wait to get this started!!

What is/are your inspirations this week?
