Hello Monday

Morning! If you haven't seen yet, you need to go check out this huge giveaway hosted by Going With The Flow. Just take a gander at the post below for all of the info... including a HUGE Target gift card up for grabs. Excited to be one of the sponsors for it and to make new bloggy friends!

Well, it's Monday and today I have the case of the Monday's. Seriously. I typically don't and look at each week with a huge smile on my face because my weeks are the most productive. But it's conference week at school which means it is also Book Fair and well, that would be all fine and dandy for a parent not in the PTA, but since I'm on the Executive Board and loooove to volunteer I'll be spending most of my time at the school. Plus, I have minutes to prepare for the following weeks meeting and... just so much.

But, I am finding inspiration in lace. I am far from being a girlie girl, but there is just something about the right kind of lace that just makes me want to put on pink lipstick and wear a dress.

What are your fave things with lace?

Hello Monday

I took yesterday off from everything and lounged around on the couch watching the entire {yes, the entire} 17th cycle of America's Next Top Model. It was awesome and much needed, thats for sure. I definitely need to add that to my to do list every month.

On this lovely Monday, that will still be almost as lazy as Sunday, I am finding inspiration in something that is key in my morning routine; something that keeps those lazy days {mostly} at bay. Coffee stations.

If I had half the space as these I would be happy! I have a small corner of the counter in our kitchen and though it works, if I had all that space oh I would fill it with amazing accessories and coffee and be able to merge my coffee and tea station together.

But this works for now.

Hello Monday

Hello all you Monday peeps! Hope today is bright and cheery for you. I've been snuggling a teething baby who is comfort nursing like crazy all morning which has been lovely so far. His first tooth is coming in, just barely peeking up in those pink little gums of his, so we will see how lovely nursing is once it fully comes in {he's a biter!}

Ok so my weeks inspirations are sewing spaces. When we decided to try for a baby we knew that meant giving up our office/sewing room to a nursery. At first I was all for it and once baby came, sewing wasn't on the top of my list of to do's. But now that he is older and I have more time to sew and am getting back into it all, I really miss my sewing room! Right now it is on a small wall in our main living space on a tiny {but amazing} Singer sewing table as well as strewn about our dinning table and is cluttered beyond all belief because our entire home has no storage space! Sad me right now. I'm trying to find a way to make it all work and I am hoping I can do that keeping my sewing table where it is right now, but I'm finding that it is quite difficult. I have some options: keep it there and work with the space, move it into the garage {which we would have to make room for me in there}, or put it in my closet in our bedroom. I like the third option the best because it's practical and I won't freeze {or sweat during summer months} my hiney off! So lately I've been trying to find some inspirations to help fix this issue of mine and get me excited about sewing again.

I think this would be a great fit for me because I can close everything up {I would still keep my closet doors on} and have plenty of room for storage and whatnot. Plus, my honey is moving his office into our bedroom {with the promise to not be a clutter fiend} so we can spend time together while working.

I love the cutting table. I have one in the garage, which is great, but it's freezing and it's in an inconvenient spot. I know that most of my sewing storage will need to be out there, so I also have to work on making a space that works for me and is easy to get to.

I currently have a space like this. If I decide to keep it where it is now, I will definitely pull from this and use vertical wall space {we have vaulted ceilings!}

I just love how there are so many elements, but it doesn't look cluttered at all. I think it is because of the white space; it keeps it open, airy, and light, which makes you able to put different objects, colors, elements with out it being dark and cluttered.

Needing a long table space for my serger and machine. Plus I like to have things on my 'desk' so I'll need all the space I can get.

I love the vintage everything! I also love the organization of the fabric and the jars to store things in. Im very visual so when things are packed up in bins and shut away, my inspiration gets shut away too. Plus that machine is to die for! And I actually have one of those with its original table too!

Pinspiration Friday

Well, A Beautiful Mess has done it again! They have given me inspiration in beautifying my life. And this time it is with cardigan elbow patches! Here is their inspiration:

So cute! I have been wanting some elbow patches on a couple cardigans of mine so this was perfect in getting that accomplished.

I originally was going to hand sew my patches on, but I didn't really like that look {for me} so I used some Wonder Under and ironed on my patches.

I love it! I'm so excited to be sporting this cardigan today!

Do you have any Pinterest Projects you're working on?

Hello Monday

How is everyone's Monday going so far? I hope well! We have just been loungin' around the house being snugly all day. I did manage to get my first ever crockpot meal started, though! And it is smelling quite amazing in here.

This Monday I am sharing with you some fashion inspiration!

Before I had the baby I was skinny mini and quite fashionable. It was rare to see me in anything but 'put together' and nowadays it's rare to see me in anything other than leggings. But with an unhappy amount of fluff and a string desire to get most of my body back {or to lose it, rather}, I am looking for lots of fashion inspiration to get me excited about clothes again.

I need this sweater! If anyone has one like this they don't want; please give me.

Inspiring? Me?

Remember when I mentioned I had been nominated for two blogger awards in a week and shared the first {The Versatile Blogger Award}? Well, Andee over at Shabby Kitteh blog nominated me for The Very Inspiring Blogger award! How cool is that?

It's pretty neat to think that what I do and what I write can be an inspiration to other bloggers out there. In fact, I'm just now kinda finding out how much of an impact I make in people every day blog browsing lives by the mass amount of comments, emails, messages, etc over the past few weeks. I 'met' Andee through a Share Your Style Swap and we became fast bloggie buddies. She's kinda an inspiration to me actually because of her amazing fashion! I've sorta turned into a mom jeans kinda mom {with out the actual mom jeans} and her fashionable posts make me want to get out of the sweat pants and in to something pretty! And might I add she makes hair pretties look good. So really, Andee - you're awe inspiring yourself. Thank you!

So here is the fun stuff... you get to know 7 more random facts about me! That's 14 in two weeks!
